Tom Chambers

Training: Alan was born in Canterbury and started his dance training at the Deborah Capon School, where he won All-England Tap Dancer of the Year. He graduated from Performers College. Theatre includes: Singin’ in the Rain (Chichester Festival Theatre), featured artist in Ol’ Blue Eyes (Alhambra, Dunfermline), Andy Lee in 42nd Street (Chichester Festival Theatre/Curve, Leicester), the Prince in Adam Cooper’s Shall We Dance (Sadler’s Wells), understudy Rum Tum Tugger and Munkustrap in Cats (German tour), featured artist in Viva la Diva (UK arena tour and DVD), We Will Rock You (Dominion), understudy Tony in Movin’ Out (Apollo, Victoria), understudy Bobby Child in Crazy for You (UK tour), One Touch of Venus (Opera North, UK tour and Sadler’s Wells), The Ha’penny Bridge (The Point, Dublin), Santa Claus – The Musical (Mayflower, Southampton), Children Will Listen (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) and tap soloist in Sondheim’s 75th birthday celebrations (Hackney Empire/BBC Radio). Television includes: How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, Dancing in the Streets, Children in Need and Blue Peter, An Audience with Kylie Minogue and assistant choreographer for So You Think You Can Dance 2011.
